Working notes

The 2017 District of Columbia Plumbing Code consists of the 2015 edition of the International Plumbing Code as amended by the District of Columbia Construction Codes Supplement of 2017 (12 DCMR F). The 2017 DC Construction Codes took effect May 29, 2020, superseding the 2013 codes (2012 IPC + 2013 supplement, 61 DCR 3169). The Dept. of Buildings plan-review checklist (dob.dc.gov) lists 2017 DCMR 12F DC Plumbing Code among the governing codes. Licensing read firsthand on the DLCP Board of Industrial Trades page: Plumbers/Gasfitters classes are Apprentice, Journeyman, Master, and Contractor, with trade permits tied to licensed masters.
