Effective-date note: 2023-03-28 is the IDAPA date stamp on the current rule chapter (24.39.20, reissued under DOPL in the zero-based-regulation review), including section 600's adoption of the 2015 UPC - it is the rule's date, not a separately proclaimed code effective date. Governance note: plumbing moved from the Division of Building Safety (old IDAPA 07.02.05) to DOPL's Idaho Plumbing Board (IDAPA 24.39.20); older DBS-hosted material is superseded. Journeyman applicants must pass the IAPMO examination (via PSI) before applying to DOPL. Reciprocity with Washington for journey level plumbers is noted on Washington's L&I page.
