Edition history in the official code text: the version of 15A-2-103 effective 7/1/2025 adopted the 2021 IPC; HB 65 (2026, Ch. 47) moved the IPC (with the IBC, IMC, IFGC, IECC and IEBC) to the 2024 editions effective July 1, 2026, leaving the IRC at 2021 - so the 2024 IPC is in force on the retrieval date. A further enacted version effective 1/1/2027 keeps the 2024 IPC (its change is to the wildland-urban interface code). Statewide amendments to the IPC sit in Title 15A, ch. 3, pt. 3 (e.g. 15A-3-304, Amendments to Chapter 4 of IPC).
